The TB290 combines all the tried and tested characteristics of Takeuchi excavators into a larger sized excavator for hire. The smooth hydraulics, powerful machine performance and good serviceability Takeuchi users expect are all represented. This compact 9 tonne excavator meets the growing demand for a Takeuchi in the 8 -10 tonne weight class.

The TB290 comes complete with a powerful Yanmar turbocharged engine that provides greater power and torque. The high-performance Kawasaki hydraulic system gives improved power, cycle times and efficiency.

The TB290 offers a powerful breakout performance for the toughest working environments.

  • Conveniently situated hydraulic and fuel tank gauges and hydraulic control valve.
  • Standard electric refuelling pump with auto shut off, stowed in own compartment for ease of access.
  • Easy access to the engine service points via the rear bonnet.
  • Automatic fuel bleed system.
  • Efficiency and component life are improved by side-by-side radiator and hydraulic oil cooler, ensuring fresh cool air reaches each cooler. A hinged frame mounting for the A/C condenser reduces inspection and cleaning time.
